gear shifting queery

hi everyone im a new fish here, i have a 1.4 lounge 100bhp on a 59 plate, its an auto, when i drive it in sport mode sometimes it doesnt want to change gear ,, it will just hold and rev and rev right up to red line and hold it there not dropping the next gear, is this common??? is there a remap available or something???? its doing my head in !:(.

Hi Jimmy and welcome to the forum :) Sound like it could be a software problem or that it needs resetting somehow. Does it work fine if you change manually? The dualogic is not really an real auto, it is more of an manual transmission with an automatic cluch. Thats why the dualogic never changes between the gears as smooth as an traditional auto! It is the same on MB Sprinters with sprintshifts, Opel / Vauxhalls with semi autos and probably a lot of other cars with similar systems. I drive a lot of MB Sprinter with this system as ambulances, and it is not good for fast driving at all:( I always use it in manual mode when I am driving it on emergencies. Anyway if it happends again, take it to the dealer and have them to check it:icon_thumleft:
