this is for those of you (inc myself) that haven't taken delivery of a '500'. I'm just curious to find out what model YOU plan to purchase?
for me, my 'dream' 500 is a Red Abarth to which I'll add some wide dual white stripes. SWEET! I can't wait.........:D
If I walked into an Abarth dealership i'd order. 500 Abarth, Funk White, with red stripes, 17" multi-spoke wheels, red leather, esseesse kit (titanium), and a red scorpion on the hood also. lol

I have got a 500 Lounge diesel with 75 p.s. and some extras but I'm waiting to the release of the 500 cabrio in Spain in 1 or 2 months.
I wish I could buy one in the new colour "azure" which is more dark than the cha cha cha one, with the roof in ivory or beige with clima, vintage leather seats, 15 " alloy wheels, seat with memory, and electrocromatic dipping rear view mirror. Engine: diesel with 95 p.s.
And if it would be available I would buy an Abarth "Da cero a cento".

I already have a 500, but if Abarth is going to be imported here eventually, I would order one in red with black leather interrior. No stripes tho, because I would get my own ones made in "scuderia" style! And if not red, my second choice would be one in grigio campovolo grey with Assetto Corse decals from Lefteris!

I drive a Red 1.2 Sport now but I am seriously thinking of importing a 2011 Red A500 esseesse (titan wheels)with the black leather and red stripes next spring. Maybe the TC if thet is on sale then. and maybe a two tone colour if it looks good as aparently it will be available not only on the A500C.
Will see if I can make it happen :)
We don't have an Abarth dealer/importer in Norway so I am planning on using the company Auto Ital to do the job for me. Will be about 43000 euros  on the road here...

WHAAAATTTTT!!!! 43.000 € !!! :hair-raising::frustrated:
In Spain an Abarth costs 18.500 € and kit essesse between 2.500 and 3.000 € depending of the dealer.
You could buy it here. Once received, you could go to the Traffic Department in your country with all the documentation and prepare the number plate. Then you could travel by plane to Spain and go back to your country driving the Abarth. There is a difference of 24.500 €.

Most of a cars price in Norway is taxes. My own 1.2 Sport with all the extras was 28500 euros.
The spec for the car I want in Germany where I will be importing from is 23735 euros
The taxes I will have to pay to have the car imported amounts to 20,140 euros...
Norway is a horrible country for people that love cars...

We do......property tax:(:( Already been taxed when bought, built, etc.... now we also have to pay local propertytaxes once a year on top of renovation and other fees to the local council:( I have to pay more than my neighbour because I have built a garage, but my neighbour has got exactly the same house on exactly the same size property...
To make things cheaper we go to Sweden to buy meat, alcohol, tobacco etc.... We become very good on smuggling:D
Sorry for the :OFFTOPIC:

Good example below..
This Challenger is for sale on a Norwegian car website for 399,000 NOK approc 50.000 Euros.
http://www.finn.no/finn/car/used/object?finnkode=19909844
But.. That is for the pre registered car. To register the car you would have to pay an additional 167,600 Euro :)
Registration Fee
Weight fee 1878: 144 367,80 NOK
Bhp fee (425 Bhp) 559 403,84 NOK
Size of engine (6.1 litres) 543 222,00 NOK
Total 1 248 294,00 NOK
VAT: 99 750,00
Registration + MVA: 1 348 044,00 NOK
I love our system... :(
The same calculator used on a Abarth 500 esseesse from Germany
Car price 23500 Euros = 189000 NOK
-19 % German VAT = 158780 NOK
Weight Fee (1030 kg): 36 740,10
Bhp Fee (160 Bhp): 50 634,41
Engine volume Fee (1398 cc): 25 755,72
Total 114 430,00
VAT: 39 695,00
Registration Fee + VAT: 154 125,00
Total price of car: 312905 NOK plus whatever the dealer that imports the car charges, probably end up around 350.000 NOK..
I can't do the import myself as I wouldn''t get finance on a non registered car, so a company has to import it and register the car for me just like a normal dealer. I Plan on using a company called Auto Ital (Oslo based) of possibly Ferdinand Motor (Bergen based).
Hoping the paddleshift gearbox from the Abarth 500C and the Tributo Ferrari will end up in the normal Abarth before it is time for me to take the plunge, hopefully sometime next spring. :D

That is absolutely INSANE!
Your governments are punishing you for wanting/loving cars. I understand it to a point, but that is just way overkill IMO.
