500 meeting in Elche (Spain)

I only wanted to let you know that we are preparing a new meeting in Spain. It will be in Elche, Alicante, a very sunny province of Spain near the sea with very warm temperatures.
We are treating with the classic fiat 00 club and classic Seat 600 to do a meeting all together, but the classics want to do it with noise, I mean, doing advertisings in newspapers and TV and so.
If we do it with them, it will be probably one of the first weekends of June. If we do it only for the spanish new fiat 500, it will be only one day, and most probably the 9th of May, Sunday.
We are chatting with dealers and we would like to have exposition or exhibition models there.
I will let you know more when we will have more news about the meeting.
If someone would like to come to Spain, like when Wreckmaster went to Italy last year, tell it to me and I will try to find the pbest prices for your hotel stay, and of course I would be your guide with spanish members; I think I'm the only one who speaks english in our club.

Elche city is very known in Spain, because it has 2 World Heritages and it has the biggest palm forest of Europe. The Alicante city airport in very near (20 kilometres) and a lot of low cost air planes arrive there every day.

Finally the meeting will be done only tomorrow and with only our 500 and not the classics. But we think it will be fun for sure. I will add pictures soon.

I do not understand why the people here in Spain never comes to the meetings of 500. In Italy they are always hundreds and hundreds of 500's.
Yesterday we were 5 cars.
At least we have a very nice and too much hot day (35 degrees all day).
We visited the beach near Elche, Santa Pola and a lighthouse on a cliff, where it was possible to see "Tabarca island".
We ate a very delicious and cheap typical rice of Alicante zone: "Arroz a banda", which is a dish of rice called "paella" with fish and seafood substance and little pieces of shrimps, squids and tuna.
As always, the best thing of the day is the people, who are all very nice.

We ate a very delicious and cheap typical rice of Alicante zone: "Arroz a banda", which is a dish of rice called "paella" with fish and seafood substance and little pieces of shrimps, squids and tuna.

I remember going to Spain for a school trip and we were served Paella. My friend screamed and freaked out when a prawn decided to float to the top and look right at her lollol
