French tuning company Atomik Cars plans to unveil an all-electric version of the Fiat 500 next month. According to Atomik, their electric-version of the 500 runs a 0-62 mph in just 5.6 seconds, making it nearly 1.5 seconds faster than the stock Abarth 500. Atomik says the electric-compact has the performance of a 300-hp thermic motor.
While the top speed of the car was not stated, it is said that the electric 500 reaches 400-meters in 14 seconds and one kilometer in 26 seconds. That means top speed should come in over 100 mph.
Power for Atomik’s electric 500 comes from a set of lithium-ion batteries of the lithium iron phosphate variety.

The Atomik 500 will make its debut at Top Marques Monaco show on April 15 and will enter limited-production of just 50 units.
