Hi, new member from Florida. hoping to get an Abarth when it comes out. Question thats been bugging me.

As you can see from the pictures below, the air conditioning controls are different between the two, so is it push buttons for automatic transmissions and knobs for the manual, or can you get the push buttons with manual?

No. There is no connection between transmission and air conditioning. You can get a manual transmission with an automatic air condition as well as an automatic transmission with a manual air condition.
The automatic air con has push knobs. The manual air con has turn knobs.

So far. Who knows how it will be in America?

It may be worth adding that there isnt currently such a thing as an Abarth 500 duallogic (auto) yet, they may invent one for the US market thougth (cant be that hard to be honest, the dualogic is not a true automatic it is a "robotised manual" i.e a manual box, with some computer controlled servos that automatically operates the clutch and shifts the gears :-) . It may dent the peformance slightly thougth converting an abarth box to automatic, due to the slower shifts, and the increased weight of all the control systems.

welcome to 500 fans.

There is a chance that the Abarths will have the new automatic gearbox with the wheels paddles!
At this time, we will see it for the first time as an option to the convertible version of the Abarth 500:icon_thumright: in Europe

We already had it in the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari Special Edition. You can find photos here (http://picasaweb.google.co.jp/f500blog/Abarth695TributoFerrari#).

Thank you all for info. So there is an option to get an Abarth manual with auto air con.

That's correct for the moment and for the Polish cars. The auto air con would be an option that costs 310 Euros in Germany.

But you'll have to wait which configuration they will offer you in America. The whole car from Toluca will be slightly different: New Panda chassis, MultiAir motors, and maybe the transmission with steering wheel paddles.

But waiting is so painful :rage:
