Alfa Romeo is planing to bring the MiTo game to a new level when the sub-compact receives a new generation in 2013.

The Italian hatchback will not only receive a makeover in 2013, but it will also get a five-door version.
The new version would allow the MiTo to appeal to a wider range of customers, thus increasing the model’s importance in the Alfa’s range of vehicles.

This will be a very important change, as the MiTo’s current platform doesn’t quite manage to offer the car top dynamics.

The new MiTo needs any improvement it can receive, as the vehicle will be part of Alfa Romeo’s future U.S. offensive, and the brand has to come with strong attributes in order to become an important name on the American automotive market.

As for the design, the next generation of the Alfa Romeo MiTo is expected to borrow some design cues from the Giulietta (Alfa Romeo’s current star vehicle), making new steps for the establishment of a new family identity for Italian automotive producer’s cars.
