Breaking in this thread with this:

Does anyone know if there is possible to buy the rear end badge who says "Nuova 500" from the old 500 anywhere. Aftermarket production etc....
I did see a picture on the Italian forum with this badge on a new 500....
It looked so retro. It is in crome finish and would look great on my 500lol

I am a sucker for that retro look:p

I noticed that badgephoto too one day! Also tought that it looks really cool and would definitely want one! I bet you can buy them from some specialists who sell parts for the old nuova 500!

Or, come to think of it, my father has one old 500 in his barn. The car is wreck and it has no front end, but all the chrome parts should be there in a cardboard box! I have to go look if I can find one!

You can use double face acrylic tape from 3M. (ref 06214)
It is about 0.5 to 1 millimetre thick.
It is used in automotive industry for fitting all kind of accessories to the cars, like labels and door protectors.
It exists in different width and you might need to cut it to size around the badge with a cutter once you have taped it under the label and before taping it to the car.
This stuff exists in rolls of 10meters and it is not cheap but it will stick like hell if applied on a clean and dry painted surface.

You might also find it in smaller packages at a local model car and planes supplies shop.
If not, send me a mail and I will send some to you.:icon_thumright:

30 euros is a pit steep! But then again what wouldnīt you do for your little cinquecento! And thatīs a good idea to use 3M tape! I was thinking first that you would have to use some kind of glue to get it on teh car. Wrecky, You have to post some pics as soon as You get the badge on to your car!!!

Got an mail from this company today where they requested my credit card information and wanted me to send them it on mail. Sounds a bit weird to me, since the mail they sent me had a copy of my order with all my credit card info:confused: Dont like the idea of sending them the info again:eek:

I wouldn't send the info again. Take it you are just going to email back saying you have paid.

I went onto Ebay and a new badge is going for Ģ14(ish). Interesting fact is that it is attached by two pins. That would mean drilling the body work:eek:

I tought it was payed when I ordered it in first place, but there seem to have been some kind of a problem so the money was not been withdrawn from my account. But they have all my visa info, so I will not give it to them again. Seems a little dodgy to me:) Probably just me beeing overcarefull, but anyway...

I am not sure I will have the time to fit it before the trip I am afraid:( It is a bit job with it, so I have to go to a friends garage to cut off the pins on the rear side and grind them down without causing heat so the badge gets miscolored. Then fit the 3m tape with a carpetknife before sticking it on. Tomorrow the whole day is meanr to be for polishing and waxing with the SV Scuderia. If I get the time I will try to get it done tomorrow evening. I want to get it proper when I am doing it, so I might not have enough time before I leave. Was kind supposed to get it done today, but I had to work overtime last night and ended up standing standby on a housefire most of the night. So today I have been pretty tiredlol But atleast I have washed and clayed the 500 so it is ready for polish and wax tomorrow.

I am leaving on wednesday morning, so it is only one day left:icon_thumleft:
