What the :infuriato::infuriato::infuriato: .
Read today that the norwegian import company Motor Gruppen wants to let Fiat go, and only focus on korean Chevys(Daewoo) and Mitsubishi.
The import company for Suzuki and Izuzu is taking over, but they don`t want Alfa Romeo. So it looks like the story for Alfa in Norway is over:mad::mad:
They are after the comercial part of Fiat but will take over small cars also!!!
I don`t know how many Fiat import companys there has been the last 15 years.......
I hope Fiat in Italy stops this deal.......

Do you know if this is going to affect your warranties somehow? Here we have had the same dealer for Fiat for ages! They are not the best in many peoples opinion, but I´ve been quite satisfied with them.

So the importer wants to get rid of one of the most fashionable city car maker, and replace them with some of the most unfashionable makes (i.e Daewoo) Hmmm someone should be fired from their job :adminpower:

They can`t change my 5 year warranty, since I have payed a lot of money for this. But they can change the conditions for future 500`s. The dealer I bought my 500 from sells Fiat, Alfa and Ssangyong. I belive if they loose alfa they will go under. It looks like Ssangyong is going under also because of the financial crisis in the world.
I hope Fiat don`t accept this deal, because the brand needs stability to grow in Norway and I also think it is a good thing to sell Fiat and alfa side by side.

Quite true, in Korea they fit them with 3 rows of seats.
They are not of "Nordic" size over there.:D
You also must admit that the Fiat Multipla wasn't a beauty either.
It looks a little like if you cross a frog with a cabin from a skiing lift.(cable car cabin).lol

But the multilpla can look good in certain angles. It is also a increadibaly clever design. The Rhodus has neither of these redemming features.

Talked to the dealer about the new import company yesterday and it looks like that the product range to norwegians dealers will expand. The new import company will start to import both new croma and qubo so they will actually get an family alternative...And offcourse continue with all the existing models:icon_thumleft:

The company has changed the warranty in Norway to 3 years/100.000 km. I was a little pissed when I found out because the 5 year/100.000 km warranty was a big selling point for me. But as I wanted a 500 since I saw the first picture of the car I reluctantly accepted this.
I believe the new guys have made my car a rare model in Norway. There won't be any more 1.2 Sport models, only 1.2 Lounge is possible to order.
RSA (The new importer) seems to want to streamline everything with a few base models, lower the warranty and hope the same thing happens to Fiat that happened to Suzuki here.
Why oh why didn't I order my new car before christmas....

I would have thought that, being a rare model, it would have a better secondhand value. We only have a 3 year warranty, the third being a dealers warranty and I think not as good as that given by Fiat. Hopefully I wont be needing it

They have to give you 5 year warranty!!!!!! Because they still advertise with it on the web site( www.fiat.no). Beside that your car is imported by the old import company. It is illegal with misleading advertising!!!! Say that to them and threaten to report them to "forbrukerrådet". At least it is worth a try:)

I tried that, the dealer said the info on the website was outdated. He said he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do. I knew the facts before I signed so I guess the consumer people will say I knew before I signed. It's too much hassle..

I wouldn't have thought one email (or phone call) now would be too much hassle. You might regret it once the three years are up.;)

The import company writes this on the website under terms and conditions (sorry about the Norwegian):
Basically it says the info on the page is not legally binding and that changes may occur. It is not to be considered a binding sales offer.
Guess they covered their asses

Had not seen this:mad::mad: I still think it is illegal advertising since it is a while since RSA took over the import. But I agree that the 5 year warrany case ain`t so strong anymore:mad::mad:
When will you get your car Cyberdog?

If all goes to plan I will get it n the 26th.. 11 days left now. Shopping for waxes and stuff to treat the paint, plus new summer tyres/rims, Haven't decided if it's going to be 17" or 16" wheels yet.
Also battling with myself over going for Meguiars or Swisswax for my paintjob.
The Swisswax stuff is double the price, but supposd to be the best.
I'm dreaming 500s now...

Here in my town there is (at least) one 500 with 17" rims. i was talking to the owner a while ago and he claimed that the ride isnt harder than it is on 16" wheels. I have to say that it looked great, a red lounge with red 17" OZ Ultraleggeras! Unfortunately I dont have a picture to share!
Actually this guy has two 500s and they are parked along side each other in a garage near by!! A red one and a white one. And I know that he bought the red one from Italy immediately when it went on sale, because back then there was no certainty that the 500 was even coming here.

That is a good question! Maybe it´s because he might not be a part of what you could call "the internet generation". Lets say that he´s little bit older than most people online. But he does have a tire and wheel shop which I think is a good thing, because he can always appreciate a fellow 500 owner.lol

I think Lefteris needs to send you a 500fans licence sticker so you can give him one or two, then he will always be aware of the forum and cant forget the adress:icon_thumleft:
