Hmmm ... interesting.

Is it not reminiscent of a Citroen ?

I dont know what "reminiscent" means:( But if you think it looks like a C3 pluriel I both agree and disagree:eek: The roof of the c3 is much more complicated than on the 500. The 500 roof is an ordinary convertible top, more like the 2cv. And I think it is pretty much like the original 500 with the big roof:) I like it:) But on the other hand I like the wagon 500 also, that was posted here earlierlol

I have not seen those wheels before either :icon_thumleft:

Anyone heard any prices in the UK yet? Since it is going to be ready for the british market this summer...

I like it
I have a softspot for any ragtop though ,it's very much like the pluriel
(my brother has one) the rolltop roof is very handy for quick wind in
the bald spot motoring :D but the carry on removing the roof rails and
storing them is a pain, and even if it starts out a warm and sunny day
here in the uk theres no guarantee it won't be snowing on the way
home , so I think fiat got it right it's a bit too small for a full roofless
design .look at mini cabriolet's they look like a childs pram .
I'd have to agree it wouldn't suit the abarth models the body will be heavier
and not as stiff so it may spoil the enjoyment of the performance
and handling

Maybe it wont reduce the handling so much since it is keeping much of it`s original side structure(A, B and C pillars). Dont know really, just a tought.
Anyway I would like one I think:icon_thumleft: Depends on the price.....which I am sure will be a lot in Norway(as always:mad:)

Well the official pics are out :)

The white with the red roof looks great! and those wheels are kinda nice as well. The only thing that strikes me is the view out the back is not going to be great.

They have just announced the 500C is coming to Australia... in June 2010 lol

Don't want to rush things I guess...

Ant the other interesting little snippet was that Fiat has sold 584 500's since they came out a year ago lol I wonder where they all are  I never see any on the roads

Maybe you can remove the folded down roof, (although you woudnt want to in the UK)

Animo
17th February 2009, 06:50
No, not in the UK! By the time the roof goes down it will be time to put it back up! The amount of rain and snow we have had lately she would fill up with water and end up looking like a novelty kids swimming pool!

For me the 500 has a certain appeal in the way that the designers have used a lot of the original 1950's model style and features on the latest car:icon_thumleft:The convertible is no exception . Check this outlol

I think it is pretty unique, when you consider both the Mini and the Beetle verts' look the same. Or any other convertible. Perhaps this design should keep the wind buffering out.

The 500c finally has arrived to Spain. And guess what? I have seen it on my little town. I suppose that Fiat is preparing the dealers with "show units". About the alloys, they are really much more beautiful than in photos.

I will have to go to my dealer and ask the price because my intention is to change my 500 to a 500 c.

Thanks Wrecky! I will go to the dealer but I think that I won't buy it, it shouls be around 2.000 € more expensive than mine, and also I would like the multijet engine with 95 p.s.
In Italy the 500c Lounge with engine 1.3 mtj 95 p.s. costs actually 19.250 €, which is 1.000 € more than an Abarth.

22nd March 2010, 16:14
I've gone today to the dealer and they don't have prices yet. The official release will be next week. But it's too much expensive.

I have been touching the roof and it seems very rough and tough, hard with goog quality. Impressive!

There is one new web page created only for the release of an special edition of 100 convertibles in Spain. It is nice to see. You can visit it even if you do not understand the spanish.
Here: http://www.mirahaciaarriba.com/

And there are webs that have published the prices:
1.2i 69 CV Pop 14.000 €
1.2i 69 CV Lounge 16.000 €
1.4i 100 CV Lounge 18.000 €
1.3 JTD 75 CV Pop 16.000 €
1.3 JTD 75 CV Lounge 18.000 €
1.3 JTD 95 CV Start&Stop Lounge 19.000 €

It is a little bit more cheaper than in Italy, includins the extras and accesories. For example, the wind stop costs in UK 150 pounds, in Italy 150 €, but in Spain will cost 115 €.
