The UK prices for the 500 Abarth have finally been announced!
500 Abarth to start from Ģ13,500

The 500 Abarth will start from Ģ13,500. Deliveries of the first fixed-spec cars will start from late February 2009, although obviously most people will opt to wait until March 1st for the new ‘09′ plate.
These cars will all be white, with red leather interior, red stripe and mirror kit, upgraded 17″ alloy wheels, and climate control, and will be priced around the Ģ14,800 mark after factoring in the options.

Say that again... my 911 turbo cost here 228.000 euros when in Germany cost less then 140.000 euros with the same options.....
All EU countries use the EU rules only where they suits them......

This is just bullsh*t! I think all EU citizens should have equal opportunities! Or at least I should be able to buy my car from wherever I want without having to pay huge amounts of taxes if I want to register my car where I live.

Btw, basic Porsche 911 turbo costs 248000e here, but I canīt find a price for Ruf.

I've got my other Porsche (the 928) in Germany, I cant keep it with the Geman plates in Greece (German export rules) and when I bring the car here they ask me 46.000 euros in taxes in order to have Greek number plates.... (from one EU country to an other...) so I say :sex_: them, I send the car to UK and got UK numbers for 700 euros only...

BTW the RUF kit I have on my 911 turbo cost 35.000 euros in Germany ...:icon_rolleyes:

That tax is absurd!! The UK is an interesting choice thougth, wont u have to pay Road Tax on it which for a porche would be a lot!! Alot of people with fast cars over here regester theirs in Poland now apparantly.

Are you alloved to do this:confused:
Here we cant even drive a car with foreign licence plates. If we are caught driving a for instance swedish car in Norway the customs can make us pay import and registration taxes for it even if I`ve just borrowed the car:eek:

This is because the customs dont want us to buy cars in Sweden where cars are much cheaper than here.......

The same here, but you can drive it for 6 months only and then you have to go out of the county, the funny thing is that if you come back the day after , you can drive it here for 6 months again..... and so on for ever! :D

Here you cant do that.... We are not allowed to drive foreign cars at all in Norway( unless you`ve got a registred adress in the country the car belong to. You have to live there).

Oh sorry, the same here, you have to got an address in the country the car belong to... and that is no problem for me, I have family members in UK for many many years, so...

If you want a dealers number.... Glyn Hopkins +44727818068 and ask for Andy.

It is unfair how prices differ but that is all down to each country's government don't you think. Here, in the UK, we are tax heavily on petrol/diesel. For every tanker of fuel.... one third equals tax.

How much is a litre of gasoline in Britain? At the moment here itīs about 1,15 euros (1,08Ģ) per litre, of wich ~60% is tax. If Iīm right that equals to about 4,91Ģ per gallon at current currency rates.

Unleaded is Ģ0.85
Diesel Ģ0.99
LPG Ģ0.50

Prices vary considerably and supermarkets tend to be cheaper. However, supermarkets do not have the additives that the large petrol companies use.

Diesel price is pretty much the same as here, but you can get petrol much much cheaper!!
