This must be perfect for Fiat, they get a dealer network and can re introduce the Fiat and Alfa brands into the US just like they want to....
If they only manage to turn around the sinking Chrysler ship:D

Hi,
I'm not sure that this is such a great deal for Chrysler.
The last "wedding" of Fiat has cost a fortune to GM when they divorced.
I think this is a great thing for Fiat as they can sell their 500 and also the Alfa Romeo's via the Chrysler dealer network.
Chrysler will have access to the Fiat fuel efficient engines and platforms but still they will need to design and build their own car around.
I see this deal as a move that Chrysler had to do in order to show to the US government that they are doing something to get out of their mess and that the money they get as financial help, is invested in new car models that people can buy.
The government money would otherwise not save the company but only retard it's death by some months.
Will see who is the big winner in this, but I think I know the answer already...
There gonna be plenty of 500's in the US soon.biggrin2
