12 days. After my Fiesta was written off, I needed a set of wheels quick. Cadbury was sitting at the dock when I ordered her.

I don't think I could take waiting months

I only had to wait a few weeks the 500 I wanted was on a boat on it's way down here already. :icon_thumleft:

They have lots of stock now, I could walk in and get another 500 tomorrow, if only I could do that with an Abarth:mad:

Situation has definitely changed. In 2007 all produced cars, 73000 of them, were sold to Italy and France alone and nobody else could buy them. And when the rest of the Europe finally got their hands on the 500s in early 2008 waiting lists were quite long. If you wanted a funk white car and you ordered in say january or february -08, dealers were saying that you could get the car in december! Dont know if the waiting list was actually that long, but definitely it has shortened a lot. One can get a 500 a lot quicker now, besides dealer stock there are many low mileage second hand cars available now.

Just wait for the US market to get started and then you will see the waiting lists up to 6 months plus for FIATs and a year plus for the ABARTHs... ! ;)

Mine was a pre reg with 8 miles on the clock. I had to wait 2 weeks for a couple of extras I haggled out of the dealer to be installed.

I thought that the US ones were being built in the US, so I thought that it would effect the European supply network

I also think that the ones for the US market is going to br build over there. Did read somewhere that it would be built in Mexico on a Chrysler factory, but I dont know if this is true or not:cool:

I ordered my car in the middle of May 2008 and got the car delivered October 15th 08. I wanted to order it so I could get the spec a 100% like I wanted it:icon_thumleft:

Am sure that with 1000 pounds or so you can do them and in an color you like! :)
sport09 did this, and I may do this also.
Just search for a good car leather shop in your area! ;)

Order placed 06.04.08,Delivered 31.05.08:(
Not the one that we ordered though(see other thread for story )Couldn't get a delivery date from the salesman ( when we placed the order and handed over the deposit , he said that the Fiat system was down & he would confirm it later.I think he was frightened that if he told me the truth -3 months ? then we would cancel.
He never did actually advise a date( it was stuck at status 13 for weeks , whatever that means?)

I eventually saw a car at the dealer that was exactly to our spec . I think it was mid to late June

Still it all turned out well :)

We were told it would be 3 months, but it actually came in about 2 months. I guess the unusual colour & the options we added meant that it had to be orfered for us (none to that spec in stock).

You could have your seats covered I guess, or get some leather seats from Fiat (which would be the Sport's seats). I prefer the Sport's seats myself.

I know that the covers are available, as mine were redone by my dealer.

Red leather with the Punk Grey would look great...

Bambina took 3 weeks. I was in and out of hospital at the time and spoke to Fiat customer services as my Scorpio had let me down on too many points! Fiat sorted it all out for me and I got her quickly, I was originally told three months but Fiat were great.

Thank you Fiat! :icon_thumright:
