Hi,

Just speaking about the Fiat quality and end of line verification.

Ok it took me also 2 days to find the miss.
I wonder if anyone on the forum has seen it and just doesn't want to cause me a sleepless night.
So the first one who finds the missing detail on my pictures, will win let's say nothing at all apart from my congratulations.:icon_thumright:

Just a hint, the interior is OK.

Have fun...

Congratulations, you are the first one, but honestly even as a maniac like me, standing beside of the car, you don't see it as it is supposed to be complete.
Probably it's that what drives me crazy, that I haven't seen it immediately.

I have been now 3 times in my garage to check and really, it's simply missing.
Unbelievable..lol

I have sent a mail with a picture to the dealer.
They can't say that I lost it as the picture was taken in their delivery area.

For the Navy, it belongs to the list of items everybody is speaking about but nobody ever has seen it, like floor mats, booklets and SS kits.
Probably they were taken by some extraterrestrial forces and went lost.
Please check with your UFO crew that brought down your car.lol

So they give you the car with the NAV base, but without the NAV! :super:
Only Italians can do that! lol

Not sure how it is with the ABARTH 500, but for the regular 500`s the decals are mounted at the dealer. So I guess it is you dealer that has forgot to mount the last stripe. I must admit that I had to look at the picture for a minute or two to see what`s missinglol Your car looks good anyway:icon_thumright:

Hi,

Typically the stickers are on the car when it was ordered with it.
This car had the estetico kit ordered and then the red mirror covers come with the red Abarth stripes on the side.

So it was quite sure a miss at the factory.

I'm not astonished that they didn't see it at the end of line check.
We had and have visual end of line checks in automotive components assembly plants and it is the worst you can have.

If someone is checking all day long the same things only by looking at it, he will after a few hours not see such missing things anymore as his brain is adding the missing part and it repairs the fault by itself.
The guy simply is persuaded that he has seen it right.
Visual checks are just not safe as there is the human factor in it.

It took them 30 minutes this morning at the dealership to find the missing part on a picture I sent them although I told them to check the Abarth strip.biggrin2

Anyway, the missing strip should arrive by tomorrow and the (at least this) problem is solved.

I wasn't driving it today as there was snow this morning but I hope that I can use it tomorrow.

Will see:

If I ordered sickers or striped decals I would be paranoid that the dealer wouldn't put them on correctly. I think that I would be forever walking around the car checking to see if they were level and straight .

I know what you mean:) I ordered my car with a-bar and crome list when I ordered the car initially, but the a-bar and crome list had to be side ordered and mounted by my dealer. Which did not a good job..... I can see glue residue a couple of places around the abar and it is starting to loosen in one end. Not much but enough so it irritates me like hell......

By the way the Fiat garage in my area is going bankrupt today, so for the moment there is no Fiat garage:mad: It did not affect my dealer but they dont have theire own garage.

By the way the Fiat garage in my area is going bankrupt today, so for the moment there is no Fiat garage:mad: It did not affect my dealer but they dont have theire own garage.:eek:We had also ordered the chrome kit ex factory ,but the car we eventually took did not have them on. All along the salesman insisted that I would be able to fit them myself -" they clip on like Lego" so I agreed to this providing I had them at the same price (they are more expensive to buy through their parts department) When I picked them up and read the instructions I realised that some body shop technique was needed , using epoxy, tape and blocks of wood etc , I was not prepared to try it myself .Also I nearly broke the glass whilst trying to change the door mirror trims. So I went back to the dealer and after a short debate he agreed to fit them free of charge. I must admit that I was a bit concerned that they might mess it up , especially as we had fully paid for the car.
But I am pleased to say that they have made a good job of it :icon_thumleft:

Hi,

A little late on this one as I was all weekend in bed with a flu and 40deg.C fever, well the full option thing.:(

On Friday afternoon I was at the dealership and they fitted the missing stripe.
The guy really made it perfect. :icon_thumleft:

So now it is complete.

As said before, no Abarth driving this week end but I might be ok for work tomorrow again.:(
