Is there possible to buy lowering springs/suspension for the normal 500. Mine is a 1,2 pop since I cannot afford a Abarth. :):) Would look kind of cool a little lower:cool::cool:

there's no need to buy the abarth springs.H&R has springs suitable for the 1.2 that lowers it 3cm.

Hi.
I have been at the dealer today and they also received the first SS kit.
They confirmed that there are new springs in the kit, which will for sure not make it softer.:(
Interesting to hear that it has also a new ECU so I suppose the old one can be kept with the original software as spare.
Would be interesting to know if it still runs with the old ECU once the new one is "married" with the car.
Here in Luxembourg the kit costs according to the info from today 3000 Euro ready fitted.
What about the tire pressure indicator, does it come with the wheels?

I only hope the sensors to works with my wheels, because I will keep the ones I have, IMO they have the most unique design that only on the 500 Abarth can find!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
The esseese wheels are to a no-frills racing design, and so they should be for their purpose.
thats way I say ''IMO''... ;)
but as always,, am right! lol

Hi,
Could the tire pressure sensors be bluetooth connected to the board computer?
On my BMW it works via the ABS signal but it isn't a pressure indicator, as it only shows if there is a flat tire.
Real pressure indicators must have some kind of a sensor/emitter device in the wheel.
Gonna have fun changing the batteries after a few years.
I think they could save these expenses and make it somewhat cheaper.lol

If you get the Esseessee Kit do you keep your existing wheels so you have something to put in the Abarth treasure chest?

Hi,
Maybe not so interesting for people living in California, Florida and Greece, but as you keep all the removed parts, you can use the original wheels to fit winter tires on them.
That's what I'll have to do.I ordered the car with 17" option as I had this in mind right from the beginning, so I have one set of summer tires left as spares as the new wheels also come with new tires. biggrin2
You can fit the removed springs under the SS kit box, so you have a nice TV table.
Still have to convince my wife on that one but it shouldn't be more difficult than for the motorcycle in front of the bathroom door..lol

I think the Abarth would make great furniture. Assuming the significant other isn't already fed up. It's good to know that you keep your spare parts, I was unsure of how that worked. I so would put a set of snow tires on my spare wheels, for the time I go to the snow (Once every year). lol

Yes, she is really great, she offered me the Abarth for Christmas.
I think the Box in the living room or somewhere else in the house will go through.
The only thing my wife doesn't like is when I start the motorcycle in the house.
She thinks it smells bad, so now I only start it sometimes when she isn't there.biggrin2

Hi,
Today I have been at the dealership and I could see the the SS kit for the 500 in the box.
1. There are 4 wheels with center caps and tires.
2. A tire pressure control kit which is as I understood not working together with the board computer but with some kind of hand held device which has to be held close to the valve cap.:(
3. There is an air filter
4. Front discs with pads.
5. Rear discs (without pads???)
6. Front and rear springs.
7. A new ECU!!! which has no program and it will be flashed when installed.
This is quite interesting as you can keep the original one as spare and according to the mechanic it can be installed whenever it is wanted.
8. some esseesse stickers (aircleaner and rear trunk lid).
All in all the cost is quite reasonable as there are quite useful parts left.
And there is also the box, err I mean the new TV table....lol

Exciting! +25 horsepower, lower ride, AND a TV table (to name a few). I don't think any other car company can provide that! lol
Go Abarth!

You can also use the box to dump incapable mechanics in the harbour, if you want to keep up a very old Italian tradition.lollol

Is the price of the kit with the mounting of the parts or do you have to pay extra for that? I wish they had an upgrade to abarth kit for the ordinary 500lol

lol lol Make sure you take all your ESSEESSE wheels and badges, it will be harder for the police to link you to the crime. But the police would know once they searched your house, the give away would be the tv on the ground.
