Personally I think that the car looks good with or without.:icon_thumleft:
It gives you somewhere to place a badge to enhance/compliment trim combinations ie Italian flag/stripes,chequerered,barcode etc and adds to the variety of personalisations available .
However on a functional note,do they provide protection on the supermarket car park
To me they seem to be too low,as I think the door on the 500 has quite a pronounced convex profile that sticks out unprotected further up :(.
In fact we asked for mouldings on the 500 that we originally ordered, as we have suffered from" door dings "before. Although the one we eventually acquired does not have them .

The dealer offered to fit them after delivery ,but it was going to cost more
plus they had to be sprayed to match etc ........Didn't know how it would compare with the factory finish

Any thoughts ? ............Matizman

If you´re talking about those protective side mouldings I think the car looks better without them! I thought about it a lot when I was ordering my car and desided not to take them.

Well I'm glad I have them as recently I came back to the car to find a nasty black mark on onw which thankfully polished off, if it hadn't been there it would have been on the bodywork.

Thats the proof then: They work as a little protection against shopping mall dents:icon_thumright::icon_thumright:
