I think this photo is edited and not the real deal. Just look at the roof rails!

I don't believe that this is the real thing. You will not see this car driving on open road without any covers and tape on it unless Fiat has officially presented it. Fiat and Alfa always make a great mystery about their new cars and usually they were still driving their prototypes the season after the official presentation, so it was looking even more mysterious.lol
I think if Fiat does a Giardinetta, it will have more typical style elements from the original, like the fins in the C pillar (grille).
If THEY do it, it will look good, believe it.:icon_thumright:

Personally I think they should keep the 500 as the origional and the abarth, the convertable is not faithful to the origional 500, it is not a proper convertable like the mini or beetle. It is just like the plureal which is completely impractable in the real world. And I hope that the estate version will never materialise as mini has proven that an "estate" city car dosent work with the clubmen. I love 500s I just dont want Fiat to ruin them somewhat with daft adaptions of the car.

Hi,
I suppose they will build whatever version they are able to set up easily by using existing components and that Fiat thinks what can be sold.:)
Although I am a (classic) Mini fan, I think that neither the classic Mini cabrio, nor the new Mini convertible are masterpieces of design. They only look as chopped off closed cars where a major part of the typical car line is lost.
This is also the case for the new Beetle convertible.
Actually it is quite often the case with cars that were initially not designed to be a convertible.
Well, this is my own opinion and I don't want to upset owners and fans of these cars.;)

I really like the idea of the estate, as long as it's done well & is simple. i.e. No rear barn doors, no stupid club door.

If it looked anything like the picture I think it might do well. Hated it at first, but it is really growing on me....
