i thought i would post a hello before my 500 arrives, just a little about myself ,i live in kent uk, 47yrs young and mad mad spurs fan (season tkt holder)
today i sold my 10 yr old landrover disovery which i have had for 6 yrs for peanuts:mad: but it was costing me an arm & a leg to keep:( so had to get rid
before the disco i had a freelander but before that i had a tipo and a punto and used to love my dads miafiori sport(spelling?) when i was a teen!
so after the expense of the landy i wanted something smaller and cheaper to run, i must admit i did look at a couple of minis but as soon as i see the 500 that was that i just loved the retro-modern look of it. i,ll probably get a bit of stick from the lads but hey who cares i like it and so does my wife!!
so today after test driving the 1.3.1.2 & the 1.4 i ordered a 1.2 lounge in bossa nova white, i didnt feel the extra £1499 for the bigger engines was good value for what i want and spent the extra on red leather seats, front fogs and sporty wheels,the only downside is i,ve got to wait until the end of may for it:eek:
oh well more time to read through all the threads so by the time i get her i should know everything!! sorry about the long winded thread :)

Are you sure your wife will let you drive it lol

I had a Defender and loved it. I had to sell it to help pay for my divorce four years ago (cried more at my Landy going than my old man).

Things happen for a reason in my life and I suppose I was lucky that it got sold when it did as the rise in road tax and price of diesel has brought the secondhand value for 4x4s well down.

Have you asked your dealer for a 500 handbook so you can read up on it ?

May cannot come round quick enough for you and me both... I am off to Egypt in Maybiggrin2
