Your Abarth is SO sweet!!! And not to expensive I have to ad! I paid 17600 euros for my 1.2 lounge! But of course we have to remember, that basic income level in Greece is a bit lover than here!
But so far they donīt even import the Abarth here. If they deside to import it, Iīm afraid the price would be 26000 - 28000 euros.

20.000 euros is the right price for the Abarth, more then this is a no go for a small town car!

This one is the metallic white and it has leather interior (2 thin stripes on the seats) and the roof, but I have the auto clima!
More options then mine, it cost here 21.000 to 21.500euros!
How many euros are those on the link?

I believe that they are all have it before they set them up for delivery!
I will check if we can hack it in order to have the 500 logo on the speedo for a few sec every time we start the car, that will be cool! ;)

Your prices seem to be really expensive. Here in the UK basic prices are :
1.2 Pop - Ģ 8,100 (8,941 euros)
1.2 Lounge - Ģ 9,500 (10,486 euros)
1.4 Sport - Ģ10,900 (12,032 euros)
Then the price rises when you start adding the styling and accessories
Are the basic specs different for each country?
cjay
9th January 2009, 23:31
The specs do seem to vary along with the prices
My 1.4 sport was $31,500AU which is Ģ14,600 The only option I added was the 16 inch wheels, They were $900.
Here you can only get the Sport in a 1.4 and the diesel only comes in a lounge... Only the Pop comes with a 1.2
They have even removed the configure a 500 web page from the aussie Fiat web site, was probably confusing their hopeless sales people lol
The AU price list if anyone is thinking of moving down this way :)
http://www.fiatcars.com.au/media/pdfs/Fiat_Price_List2008.pdf
There is a long list of taxes that get added to the advertised price :(
VilleV
10th January 2009, 04:51
We donīt get Pop here at all. 1.2 and diesel are available only in lounge trim and 1.4 in sport and lounge. Reason why cars are so expensive here are huge taxes. Taxfree prices are actually cheapest in hole Europe, but when the taxes are added the total price is ridiculous! The cheapest You can get your hands on one is 16500 euros for a 1.2 lounge with no added options.

Crikey that is expensive.
Is there anything stopping you buying in another country and driving it home ?
I believe we in the UK can buy abroad but the insurance rises on an imported car. Do not know if import duty is payable. Anyone done this ?
VilleV
16th January 2009, 11:08
Itīs possible to buy from another country, but itīs not worthwhile because you would have to pay huge import taxes. And after the taxes price would be at least as high as they are here anyway.
But importing a secondhand car is another matter and itīs quite common to import e.g. Mercedesī, BMWs, Audis etc from Germany. In premium cars there is some possibilities of profit. More pricey the car is in Germany, the more there is profit to be made. Also equipment in a car influense on the amount of taxes. The better the car is equipped the bigger the tax is going to be. Therefore itīs popular to import basic models with diesel engines from otherwise expensive car like for example Mercedes E-class.
