Hi,

Im soo excited its one week to the new F1 season with all the new type of cars! Its going to be better in the UK as we dont have ITV doing the coverage anymore ! (they had a nasty habit of filling with adverts and on numerous occasions missed the end of the race)

So who will everyone be rooting for? (Im behind Massa as I was last year)

I really think that the 500 Passanoble Red is very similar to the Ferrari Red :

Yes, Ferrari is my best F1 car but Lewis is the best driver out there, only Kimi can play with him, if F1 become his first priority Kimi can be the best! ;)

I think Kimi is so motivated at the moment that he´s the man to beat. I dont think Massa can do that and for sure Lewis will suffer from McLarens poor performance. Sad to say as a finn, but I dont think that Kovalainen has the speed to match those three (I could be proven wrong though). I dont believe that Brawn gp is really that fast they have been in resent tests, they are just showing off with a light car to get some attention and sponsors. Or Williams for that matter either. So Go Kimi!!!:icon_thumleft:

Here the F1 is showing on a channel that you have to pay for and therefore there are no comercials at all. I´m not sure though I will pay for it because I also get german RTL via satellite and they show F1 with a great coverage. And besides that there are at least two internet channels that show it!

Being English , I would like to see Hamilton retain his championship or even Button doing well , if you can believe what is happening in testing . Also it would be good to if Rubens had a successful season :icon_thumleft: I have got a soft spot for Massa even if he drives for Ferrari:(But he has a good choice of road car:cool:

Hmmm....You dont want Cadbury to see that. Because there is no such thing as a ordinary 500 I have learned from her:roflmfao:

BTW I dont know anything about F1:(

Nah... they would give him a Ferrari 500. I read that one was up for sale, Ebay I think, and it had lots of people bidding.

And how do you think the new F1 points system will work? I think it will make it more interesting.;)

I am glad that they have thrown the new points system out of the window:)
At least for this season

Unlike football... the goal post will always change;) but it makes sense that the number of wins should count more than the tally of points

I follow Fernando Alonso I hope he has a competitive car this year,
he'll be hard to beat.

Hamilton don't believe the hype he's a good driver but but still making
stupid rookie mistakes, luck was on his side in the 08 season
Kovalainen had all the reliablity problems if Hamilton had his share Massa would
have walked away with the championship, which he may do this year as he's matured as a driver and is not making those kind of mistakes.

I don't think Räikkönen is hungry enough to want the wins.

There are a few up and comers Kubica,Vettel and Glock that will
be worth watching out for especially if the cars are on more of a level
playing field like they'r supposed to be this year (I wouldnt bet on it)

Apart from a few exeption's the rest are born to trek round at the back
Still wouldn't mind their wages for it though biggrin2.

VIVA ALONSO

I just read the preview of the season in the Autosport (U.K motorsport Mag)

It appears that the new McLaren is miles off the pace, its rubbish, the new Brawn GP car (the old honda team) is faster, as it uses the same engine as the McLaren, so hamilton is at a disadvantage

The new Ferrari is Favourite at Melbourne, with the Brawn GP and the Williams McLaren are only expected mid field at the best,

McLaren are basing their hopes on the new Champion rules, (probably scrapping the current car eventually and producing a completly new car mid season in an attempt to gain wins)

I have to say I was surprised by Williams today Nico being the fastest driver in both sessions this morning. I knew Williams had been fast in pre-season testing but I kinda thought they were just light on fuel. Today seems to prove otherwise though, but I quess we cant really be sure before tomorrow mornings qualifying. Really exciting to see some unfamiliar names on top of the scoreboard!!

Friday practise time sheets are often strange , with driver and cars in positions that you would not normally expect. Then on Saturday ,the usual order is normally resumed. However this weekend , I am not convinced that this will happen as the new rules seemed to have shaken things up alot:lol

If you look at today's times , 6 out of the fastest 7 cars have received objections regarding diffusersbiggrin2

Can't wait until tomorrow and Sunday lol

PS............VilleV ,don't you wish Nico was Finnish, like his father ?
Even though I think that Keke was born in Swedenlol

You know your facts, I see...:D Yes I do hope that he was finnish. He is a finnish citizen though and he has got a finnish passport, but because he doesnt speak finnish I dont consider him being a true finn. But there is no doupt where he has got his genes from...

I think this weekend we will see how much of a good driver is Hamilton, since he appeared two year ago, he has been on a team that has the favourite car. This is the first time where he is the underdog... so well see how he reacts to serious pressure for the first time.

Hamilton didnt do very well being even slower than Kovalainen. At this point I´m not even surprised anymore about Brawn gps and Williams speed, because they have been fast in all practice sessions, but I was positively surprised about Red bull. I quess hiring Newey is now paying off!! And I also think that Button diserves all the success he can get! Good for him!! At this point this is forming to be a really interesting season...

It promises to be a great year; I really cannot begin to understand the reasoning of the BoD of Honda for selling out not only the team but the heart of the greatest row of success in F1,...............

HONDA ......... :frustrated:

lol

Well, alot of the old cars problems is the engine, it was unreliable.. So I dont think they would be as competitive under their old guise as they woudnt have the Merc engine.

And we wouldnt have that amaizing livery

Button is my favourite British Driver, after I saw him at Silverstone a few years ago, I knew he was as skilled as the best, he has just been so unlucky that he hasnt had a good car under him, until now.
