Since having my pistons changed my little Bambina is using a very high amount of oil, looks like she could go back in! (Please don't let them give me that Piccanto again! )
About a litre in a week, Approx 60 miles.
I can feel a new engine coming.

Hi,
One liter of oil on 60 Miles, it must smoke like a steam engine.
Also ask for a new catalyst as they don't like that oil poisoning.:(

Funnily enough, she doesn't smoke (either that or I'm going far to fast to notice what's behind me biggrin2)

Hi,
With that consumption it either must smoke or...you have a huge oil stain wherever you park it.
You might also find oil sticking on your rear window and trunk lid in case of a leak.

Just read on Fiat.co.uk that there is a 'recall in progress' regarding the amount of oil being used. Have to wait and see what transpires.

Hey Cadbury, have you heard any more news on the oil recall yet?
Mine has been perfect ever since we did our own service. Can't help worrying though.

Fiat Marketing reported :
There has been no recall campaign issued for this concern. There is however a “service news” published that advises dealers what to do if a vehicle fitted with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) has the oil change light come on before 10,000 KM (6,000 Miles).
Any customer with the above concern should go to their dealer and quote service news number 00.15.09.
