Ive heard about those, they dont look right being completely white, the real retro tyres will only have a white ring around it.

Theyll just get filthy after any form of diving, all the junk on the roads will show up, so theyll end up becoming mostly black over time anyways

Hi,

It looks that Pirelli is re-inventing something what's more than 100 years old.
Actually tires were white (and you can find some old-timer tire brands that produce for pre 1920's cars white tires) and they only became black after the tire manufacturers added carbon to the rubber as they thought it would better fit optically the application. (Tires usually are dirty).

As far as I know there is no increase in mechanical strength due to the added carbon and it is only optical.biggrin2

Also a little moan:

Why are pirelli wasting money on devoloping this rubbish, there is a big pirelli factory near where I live, its like one of the biggest employers in the area and they are doing huge layoffs due to cost cutting, and somehow they seem to be able to afford to develop some junk that was scrapped 100 years ago because it looks awful, when they should be focusing on keeping their factories profitable.
