Came out from work this afternoon, got in the car (I think the door was unlocked.. It says in the manual the central lock disingages when the battery is flat??) put the key in the ignition turned it and nothing happened. The battery was completely empty. The hazard lights didn't even work. No lights were left on, the only thing I normally don't do was leave the window viper knob on interval. Had to get Fiat road dervice come jumpstart me..
This really pissed me off as I can't trust my 1,5 month old car to start anymore... Just hope it startsvwhen I'm taking my GF to work this evening. (she didn't want a Fiat.. But a VW polo like we had before so this was a perfect "I told you so" moment for her)
Taking it in for a check at the dealers tomorrow as we are going on our først long trip in the car on Friday..

It must have been something switched on. Like interiour lamp, or a door that was not completely closed... Do you have a lamp in the boot? Because if you do, that could be the problem. It is easy to push the boot button on the key if you put them in your pocket after locking and leavin the car... I dont have a light in the boot, but I have pushed the button a couple of times by accident...

no boot light in my car. No lights on. I checked out (admired) the car before heading in to work, nothing was on. But I hope it was something small that was on..
We'll see if it happens again. Hence the insecurity..

It has shown no sign of trouble after yesterday, but I bough a starter cable kit just to be safe.
*Krosses my fingers* and hopes it doesn't happen again.
Hi
I'v read somewhere a while ago that this happened to new panda's,
It turned out to be a fault with the radio that was discharging the
battery, might be worth looking into if it happens again

I went shopping Saturday and had to put split rear seats down. I noticed that the boot light stayed on whilst driving home. Made a mental note to call the dealer but next time the back seats were down... it didn't happen. Just wondered what could trigger this ... any ideas ?

Then the boot light on the dash would come on.
