Mine is booked in for its first service in 2 weeks. I was told approx £140 but I have a 2 year prepaid service plan so I won't need to argue with the price! £190 plus vat is a bit steep is it not?

I would double check the price. Although my dealer quoted £320 (obviously not a low mileage service)... I found another Fiat dealer who quoted £150 inc VAT.

For a basic service (mines only done 3000mi) which is bascially an oil change £180!!!!! Thats shocking I could have done that myself, its only the stamp that youre paying for :-o
