View Full Version : 'Vintage' wheel trims

Hello! We've ordered a Fiat 500 POP completely standard apart from door rubbing strips. Since the order was placed, we've noticed that there was an option of vintage wheel trims. They look much nicer than the standard grey ones, but this wasn't obvious in any of the literature or the online configuring widget. A photo on this forum shows them off nicely. The dealer tells me that they can't alter the order now - even though delivery is not expected until mid August. They also said that they couldn't tell me if these trims are available as an after sales purchase without the chassis number of the car! Presumably, if anyone has these trims and loses one, they must be able to get replacements.
So, after that long winded intro, what I'm asking is, does anyone know if these trims are available as a seperate purchase, and maybe the cost? (we're in the UK).
:thanks2:

Hello! Only place I know of that sells them is Fiatshop.com. Price is pretty steep though at 144 euros for a set of four. Here´s a link Ive posted earlier in some other thread too: http://www.fiatshop.com/shop/catalog/fiat-radzierkappen-satz-vintage-p-801010260.html?osCsid=27a7443dd5aa6934abf44df4cb81 1c27
Here´s again too that link to a photo, that shows what they look like in real life: http://www.flickr.com/photos/marcellopapini/2895264375/sizes/l/in/pool-11266823@N00/

Hi and welcome
When I ordered my litle 1.2 pop I also ordered the vintage wheel trims. I then cancelled my order and opted for the alloys. I can't remember the exact price but I know they were around £70.00 for the set. I've just spoken with my dealership to see what they can advise and they are calling Fiat direct for me.
As soon as I hear anything I'll update you.

Thanks all. Inevitably, I can't find the photo now! It was a right hand drive (likely UK) Ye Ye green 500. I think it was part of the same thread Ewandougie sourced the picture from in his reply above.

OK - they cost £102.61 including VAT and the part number is 71804112, that's for all 4.
Hope this helps.

Ah yes, thanks VilleV, that's the one (missed the link in your earlier post). It looks like steel wheels with trims are in the minority based on the great photo's posted on this forum. Nearly everyone has gone for alloys.
They look fantastic when they're new, but if you saw the state of the 17" alloy rims on our other car, you'd know why we've opted for steels! Those high French granite kerbs really took their toll....:(

Great, thanks Animo. We have a while yet before we think about replacing the trims. Probably won't get the car until September.:icon_thumright:

Know what you´re talking about. Im just overly cautious with mine! I allways park far enough from the kerp, go around any holes and allways go over a kepr in straightest line possible, so that the alloy wont thouch the stone! Offcource its easier with the 15" wheels, bigger they get more difficult it gets to protect them...

I think they would look good on a car with the chrome pack installed, they would look fairly wierd on mine lol
