Has anyone else become attached to their 500?

Hi,

I know this sounds rather gay and pathetic etc, but I have sort of become attached to my 500, its got to the point where I could never see myself selling it lol . I was wanting to get an Abarth 500 when I get a job after uni, but I dont think I could ever trade my 500 in. I wonder if its got anything to do with it being my first car or anything...

Being practical, as much as I love Cadbury, I think the ideal time to sell :( would be when she is 2.5 years, still in warranty and service paid for, with mileage of ~21,000 miles. Mind you, none of the colours now appeal to me. But, yes, it would be another 500 but the cost of a soft top would have to be more realistically priced.

I have the same feeling Ewanlol Even more so, now after the cinquecentisti meeting:icon_thumleft: It was so great to go on a long trip with:cool: When I sometime in the future will trade it in, it will be because I wants to get an Abarth 500. But I dont think I will ever buy a new Abarth, because of the prices here on the mountain. So in two years time I will concider a 1-2 years old Abarth. Or maybe import one from Germany. I am dreaming of a red or black A500, with leather and opening sunroof.

But until then I am very happy with my beautiful little 1,2 poplol

The other reason for not selling is the value of 2nd hand cars (here anyway) is lower than a snakes belly! :eek:

I agree with Wrecks. Only thing I´m gonna chance my 500 for is an Abarth. My thoughts of getting a Mito are now long gone. Unfortunately at this moment the Abarth is not even officially imported to Finland, so I would have to get one from Sweden or Germany. Prices in Germany are certainly not bad, starting somewhere around 17000 euros, but I´m more likely to look into Sweden mostly because of cheap swedish krona. Abarth in grey with red leather would be my number one choice, or a red one, with white stickers and mirrors, or the pearlescent white with no stickers, or... I just cant make up my mind!lol

I am really attached to it , almost to the point of obsessionlol Maybe this is sad ,but it's my hobby and I am not harming anyone. I just like reading and looking at cars ,in particular the 500:)

I think you must be psychic! On Friday I thought about starting a thread about how obsessed and in love with my car I am, then I thought everyone might think I was a nutter!
