Hi all
This is my first post so forgive me if this has been covered. I've only just registered as the last forum I was on has disappeared!!
I have just seen that Fiat have released an adaptor to allow the iPhone and iPod to charge and also play music thruogh the B&M system. A good step forward if a little pricey (£71!)
has anyone out there taken the plunge and bought one yet? If so is it any good? My concern is that for those using the ecodrive will have to swap their iPod for a USB stick to record and download the ecodrive stats, or are they also recorded on the iPod? If so, how are they then downloaded onto a PC/Mac?
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

I use a FM transmitter on my iPod, I didnt think it was worth forking out for Blue and Me, when I would only use it to hook up the ipod to the stereo

Just to add to my previous post.........
I have installed the latest B&M software from the Italian website. It was easy to do with instructions from another forum. I am still using a USB stick as I cannot justify the cost of the B&M iPhone adaptor.
A word of warning....What the upgrade info failed to mention is that you have to disconnect the USB stick each time you turn the engine off, otherwise it will spend ages telling you to 'please wait while the system builds the media library'
As a result, I now have to unplug the USB each time I park, and when I plug it back in again, it doesn't start playing from the same place. I have to start again from whichever album/playlist I was on before!!!!
Not really a big deal but a bit of a pain.
I'm now trying to find a way of re-installing the original B&M software...any clues??

Yep, a translation of the name would be Coachowners Standardisations Company Ltd
I don't know if they will offer it, they don't offer much in the 500 range.. No Abarth, no Sport, no Pop, no 1.4, just Lounge 1.3 and 1.2.
But Chris@Souls over at the fiatforum could probably help out.

I have just dropped by Autovia, the Fiat dealer in Bærum and they checked this adaptor for me. It is availeble through Fiat dealers but the price!!!!!! Hold on: It costs 1500kr!!!!!! Thats 169 euros or in £ 146!!!!!!!! How is that possible for a small adaptor!!!!! Unbeliveblelol

Hello again.
Just to update you all. I took the plunge and bought the Blue&Me iPhone adaptor.
It's great!
I have used an FM transmitter, but I found that I had to keep re tuning the radio to avoid interference. A real pain.
The adaptor gives me full iPod functions from the steering wheel, and also charges the iPhone. My only issue, except for the price, is that it does not allow you to select individual Podcasts from the 'Genres' menu. It can be done by selecting from the 'Artist' menu, though.
I am now trying to decide what sort of car cradle to get for my iPhone. I don't really want to stick anything to the windscreen or make holes in the dash. I'm tempted by the Gorillapod tripod mount. Watch this space......

I haven't got my car yet (delivery due end of March), but just ordered a Brodit ProClip for the 500 from holdersandmounts. Like you, I don't want to clutter my windscreen with a suction mount. Am planning to use Herbert Richter holder for my iPhone 4 with it.
