It's a sad day today.... Whilst driving to work, some dopey woman decided to be fiddling with something in the car, drifted to the middle of the road and caught a massive stone; which in turn hit my windscreen

Got Autoglass coming on Friday to probably replace it as they say it sounds to big to repair :crying2:

Ooooooh! What a bad luck! I'm sorry for the situation. I wish Autoglass will do a good cure of your car.

:( Did your insurance cover it, or you have to pay for it?

They cover it, but sadly I still have to pay the excess charge of £70. And when my next renewal comes up, this will put up the premium by how ever much they decide :(

What an unfortunate event. Shame you didn't get her registration cos you could have claimed on her insurance.

Rest assured tho, it wont affect your insurance premium.

Oh no! The silly woman! You should have chased her, stopped her, dragged her out of the car and poked her in the eye! Then got her insurance details. :beaten2:

I hope Autoglass do a good job for you.

Take care.

I nearly did take her registration, but thought I wouldn't be able to do anything with it. Oh well, it's happened now. Fingers crossed they will be able to repair without replacing it!

Oh I did tail-gate her and shook my head, only for a little while though (how British can you get!!) lol

When my car was just a few weeks old I had to change my windscreen, as it suddenly cracked for no obvious reason as I was just cruising along the highway( no cars in front, no stonechips). But Fiat covered it under warranty:icon_thumright:

Now that is highly odd, but better as you got it covered by your warranty :( I feel quite ashamed driving around with this defect on such a beautiful car, but only until tomorrow :icon_thumleft:

They tought it was probably a bad fitting from the factory, which caused a tention in the glass, combinated with the temprature diffrences back then. About zero outside and max heat inside:(

Whenever there is a 'smear' on the windscreen, it is always in my line of vision, right in the middle of the screen:mad:

Smears on the screen are annoying, and as you say they always seem in front of you lol

The Autoglass man came, repaired it however you can still see it :( So just have to see whether I can live with it, or fork out dinero for a new windscreen...
