For me the most interesting is this
Peak torque: 206 Nm (230 Nm sport mode) at 3000 rpm.
(206 Nm at 3000 rpm in ‘SPORT’ mode).
And the standard Abarth in the sport mode is super fast! ;)

I see it has a BMC air filter, mine has arrived today :)
If I can work out how to put it in I'll be one step closer to having an Abarth lol

Hi:
Well I suppose that the air filter modification will be more of a "sound tuning".
Done alone, I believe you will not be able to feel a power increase.

It's just the filter so no change in sound :) Does seem to rev out much better :)

I think that the difference in the front discs is the most interesting of the whole package, particularly if they improve "bite" without making the car feel light at the back. :icon_thumright:
I also wonder if the SS wheels are any lighter than the 17 inchers that are offered as production-line options.
Looks like both set of discs (front and rear) are differend, both are perforated ! :)

Im new to this board today after having my 500 abarth for three days. One question I have to ask, is the esseesse kit worth the money? I have included a couple of pictures of my car and im delighted with it, just want to know over the next 12 months should I be spending £2750 on an esseesse kit?

Hi,
I was also waiting a few months before deciding on the kit and I have it on my car since about 2500 Km.
Yes, if you have the money, just spend it.
For my opinon it's worth every single Pound.
You'll have a spare set of wheels that you either can sell or as I do, you can use them for winter tires and you'll have a spare set of summer tires left.
The same for the brake discs that I will use up once the SS ones are worn out.
The best however is the new engine ECU.
The power is just there and even the non Sport mode is feeling acceptable for normal driving which is too soft on the non SS.

My car dies have the esseesse badge but it isn't one. I had the badge, 17" wheels, red leather etc put on thinking that would remove the urge to upgrade. I don't really know how my car performs yet, only 290 miles and it's never been above 3000rpm or 55mph. Want to break it in gradually and then benefit in the cars later life. I will wait until I've done 3000 miles and tested the car properly before making a decision.

Dear friend,
the esseesse kit es quite expensive, but it is an original Fiat/Abarth package, keeping up your warranty. The esseesse kit consists of parts that haven´t much to do with the motor itself, and you probably don´t need them. the four new wheels for example. You must also keep in mind that the new parts - especially the wheels - increase the weight of your Abarth. What fiat does to increase the performance of the motor is to remap the ECU. This can cheaper be done by a third-party remapping service plus you don´t get all that parts you really don´t need, parts that make the Abarth more heavy also.
Greetings :-)

Hi,
I don't understand why the car should become heavier.
The wheels are the same size than the ones I had before on the car but the alloy rims of the SS kit are much lighter.
The springs are shorther so I can suppose that they might be lighter too and the discs are drilled.
Concerning the power increase I prefered to use the genuine Fiat package for warranty reason.
My car has now more than 60000km on the clock and still drives like day one.
The SS kit is not that expensive if you consider having a second set of summer tires as spare and a set of alloy rims to mount your winter tires.
