Not wanting to get into an Apple PC mass debate.... but.
I have been an Apple user for 13 years, very happy with them. The operating system OS X is soooo much better than Windoze :icon_thumleft:

Ive been wanting one :-) But.... I would need to put windows on it (another 100 quid on top) as alot of the engineering software I use at Uni only works on windows, so I ended up getting a Dell (which has the worst DVD drive ever made)

To boost my son's spirits during his training, I am buying him a computer. Had a look today at a Sony with Blu Ray. Anyone know what they are like?

I put Windows on mine, but to be honest I haven't even used that yet. This machine is awesome!
We have always had Sony's and they have been great just a shame about Microsoft  but as far as the build quality etc of a Sony goes, I would recommend.
When you get it let me know what it's like. :D

My brother works for Sony, so he would be able to tell you which ones are the best ones :D I believe he said the bluray range are a good buy.
If you're ever in Brighton, he can get you a good deal :icon_thumright:

I just got a "Hackintosh" (a PC running Mac OSX). So I guess this is my first macintosh (somewhat) computer. I'm running it off a HP Mini 110, it's a neat setup.

Have been using mine for a while and love it! Takes a little while to get to know your way around but it really is great. Very pleased. :icon_thumleft:
