Hello my dear friends
Too many bad things those days here in Athens as you can see on the news and I am on the fire fighting along with my brother Vassilis (sport09) in order to save his home and as many others as we can at Drosia Attika Athens for the last few days!
But yesterday the fire was at his back yard and thanks God and my 45 days special military fire fighting training we manage to turn it off just the 2 of us and save the whole neighbourhood at the same time, you see all neighbours are on vacations exept us, we are still on alert all family those days.
Regards

I hope it all the fires are put out soon. It must be awful over there. Whats awful is the fact that alot of these fires are deliberately started

Hope you are ok, Lefteris. I wish you all the best and i hope the fires will be extinguised very soon.
Spain has sent 2 hydroplanes to help. I think it is not enough, but here in Spain we also have some fires around the country. I suppose the spanish gobernment has not sent more planes because this reason.

Latest news are saying that the fires have been put out now! So thats good new, but itīs a big shame that some people have lost their homes!

Good to hear that Olympus is helping out!:icon_thumleft: You think he might re-join us soon Lefty?

We see the news... the fires... people losing their homes... the troops, the people... all trying, sometimes in vain, to stem the onslaught of the fires, BUT, unless you are there, in that situation, one will never ever know what it is like. Fear, panic, exhaustion, hunger, euphoria... the emotions that the body goes through must be extreme.

You take care Lefty

What a pity! It's unbelieveable how are we "taking care" of mother Earth. For the major part of the humanity, the money is more important than other thing in the world.
