Have you had any issues with Blue&Me?

The little lady who hides inside my dashboard has stopped talking to me when she updates the data on my USB Memory Stick. I have to guess how long to leave the stick in the port.

She also won't read my text messages any more. Can't think what I've done to upset her.

I'm going to have her 'seen to' at the Dealers next week. They've had a look twice over the last few months and just tried to make me look as though I don't understand how it works when I understand very well how it works.
:(

Ive never been able to get her to read my sms. It may be because my messages are in finnish and she might not understand...;) No other problems, but then again Im not using it much.

It might also be because your phone is not 'compatible'.

I was convinced that mine wasn't compatible until one day I sent a text and then drove off home thinking nothing of it and was shocked to hear a reply come in and to be asked if I'd like her to read it. It wasn't bad either!

My last phone was compatible, but the lady just makes some strange sounds when trying to read my norwegian text messageslol Sounds pretty much like she is doing something that is not legal to do while drivinglollol

Havent tryed the text message reader with my Iphone 3GS yet. But the phonebook and the handsfree function works fine with B&M:icon_thumleft:

My Sony Ericcson W595 worked perfectly (not in to hi tec phones), even read texts, but then I cannot answer a call by pressing the phone button, I have to open the phone and then it kicks in. Hey ho, Cadbury is due her first service at the end of next months and it will get fixed, together with a few others issues... nothing major.

Nothing wrong here. My friends love messing around with the lady as they send random texts and see if she can say it. Immature I know but hilarious! lol

Anyone experiencing issues with iPhone 4? It's not listed as Blue&Me tested phone as yet, however, iPhone 3GS is..

My iPhone 4 works perfectly. Still won't read texts, but then neither could any other iPhone.

There doesn't seem to be any logic as to which phone will, or won't read texts out. Mine is a Nokia that's about 15 years old, it's been removed from the list of compatible phones but it does still read SMS messages out to me in the car. As I said at the start of this thread, it didn't work for months and when I insisted they did something about it they managed to get everything working, the lady inside my dashboard, as well as the message reading bit.

The trouble is that if you NEED a phone that does everything you either have to buy one and hope or borrow phones from your friends and test it out.

Fiat have absolutely no idea!

Thank you for your reassurance. To be honest reading text message is not as important to me as long as all other features works fine.

on a related issue, how does the phone mate up with the Blue & Me? once you have set it up, do you have to pair it every time you get in the car or does the system and your phone "just know"?

the Blue & Me feature is one that I really like to use.....once I get my 500.

After you have "paired" your phone with the system it remembers and they connect automagically when you get in the car. Of course this requires the bluetooth function in your phone being kept switched on.

Once iPhone is paired, it will automatically connect every time you turn on your 500 it realised that iPhone is in vicinity. Apart from SMS which is not compatible with iPhone OS, everything else works perfectly well as it should.

I've experienced that my new ABARTH would not work with the sony E w595.
My old 1,4 100Hp's B&M system accepted this phone except for that the phone had to to bee opened and the answer button beeing pressed, as mention here in this thread.

but the ABARTH did'nt let it pair up...
Had to find the old Sony E K810 in the bottom of the drawer and use this until I find a phone that I'll want AND Positivly work with the B&M system..

Does anyone know if the blue & me system supports two phones at the same time?
