Busy work schedule, busy with daughter for the last week of school hols and busy getting son ready for university. :icon_rolleyes:
But we've waited this long, so a few more days don't really matter ;)
Also, in the UK the car registration changes from the 1st September, and the dealer seemed to assume we would want the 'new' reg.
Would have been happier getting the car earlier though. Never mind. Am I mistaken in thinking the majority of 500 drivers are ladies? I've only seen one bloke driving one where we live.

Here in Norway I think it is about 50/50 when it comes to male/female drivers of the 500. At least that is my impression after nearly a year with 500 driving... In my family I usually drive the 500 and my wife drives the family wagonlol

It's about 50/50 here from what I've seen. I have noticed though that it's mostly 'older' people who have them, very few youngsters like myself :(

I probably won't get a chance to drive 'ours'. It's 'her's' after all lol
I'll have to sneak out in it when she's at work biggrin2
Our dealer said a lot of the 500's he's sold have been to females. Maybe it's just our location??
Going to try and get a free set of mats out of the dealer tomorrow. We recommended him to some friends who subsequently ordered a new Panda. ;)

I've seen more females than males driving 500's, but only slightly. I did see a sickly light green 500 a few weeks back and was expecting a woman to be driving, however it was a middle ages man  Also the ages have been about 50/50 too between older and younger around my way :)

Got the car and the free set of mats. biggrin2
We nearly got side swiped by a badly driven Peugot 20 minutes after picking it up
I wonder what the record is for a new car being damaged after someone has taken ownership?

Apparently 14 miles! We know someone who took ownership of a new Clio and rolled it 14 miles later!
Anyway, congratulations! Here's to many years of happy motoring! :icon_thumleft:

Managed to take the car for a drive finally. I was lol the whole journey. It is a fun car, and ideal for our purposes as a 'town vehicle'. Everything feels nice and light - steering, clutch, gear change. Marvellous. :icon_thumleft:
Strangely, I had trouble adjusting to my Mazda when I got back in that. It felt like I was in an Abrams tank!
Happy days.

It could have been! It travelled to Telford that day. Not on it's own of course  Driving on London road? You were a few miles from your home town I think?
A few pictures of 'Freda' - if that's the name that sticks. Spoke to one of the chaps from the Nuova500 shop the other day about some custom graphics....

Might have been then, didn't see who was driving it or what colour the interior was.
I'm almost always a few miles from home during the week :(
Freda looks very nice!

Practically everyone has gone for stripes or stickers, but I do so like a 'plain' 500 congratulations.
The only graphics I would consider for Cadbury would be the Fiat's logo ... 500 ... in a cream. Would look cool black on white huh ?

Thanks everyone. Julie (the boss) is very happy with it which is the main thing. It's her car after all :)
At the time she ordered it, I was trying to get her to go for loads of options, 'get the alloy wheels', 'get the glass roof' etc. She's happy with the car the way it looks, but on the day she took ownership, another lady was collecting an identical one, but with the chrome pack. That is something she slightly regrets not having now. :(
The bloke at the Nuova500 shop said that local dealers are ordering their graphics from him as they are of a superior quality. There are plenty of possibilities. Something to think about later on......
They even do the Martini racing colours like on the Lancia Delta Integrale rally cars. Showing my age again now

You can add the the chrome pack any time you like! ;)
