Fiat Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari

Meet the new Fiat Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari, which debuts at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. Built upon the Abarth 500 esseesse, Fiat says the Ferrari-themed compact car is designed to give Ferrari customers "a small but exciting small car for urban mobility."

The engine delivers "over 180 hp," and manages to crank out 169 lb-ft of torque at 3300 rpm. As is the case with a standard 500 Abarth esseesse, the Tributo Ferrari sends its power to the front wheels via a five-speed semi-automatic transmission.

The Tributo Ferrari also receives a special sport suspension, Brembo four-piston brake calipers up front, and 17-inch wheels patterned after Ferrari's rolling stock (check the 360 Challenge Stradale wheels) The 695 can reach a top speed of 140 mph (224kph), and can spring from 0 to 62 mph (100kph) in under 7 seconds, making it slightly faster than an 500 Abarth esseesse. A special leather-trimmed interior, complete with Ferrari-inspired gauges, is also par for the course.
Fiat hasn't specified exactly how many of the limited-edition 695 Tributo Ferrari models will be built, but every example will come painted in "Scuderia Red" check the F430 Scuderia colour and stripes.

Rumour has it that.. the price tag will be somewhere between 40.000 to 50.000 euros!

Hi,

Looks really great but probably it will become too expensive for my budget.lol

Somewhere there must be a limit for what you are willing to pay and what you get.
Interesting also is that they were unable to fit a 6 speed manual gearbox to the Abarth because of lack of space and now they found a 6 speed with steering controls.
Wrecky is right, the place of the shift stick would need a redesign , maybe with a center console that fills up that space differently.
Probably the are qoing to fix this on the next whatever called special edition.
Why not calling the next one Ferrari Testarossa memorial whatever.

Make it sound exclusive and people will buy it.:confused:

There is a possibility that there will be too many socalled special editions, with way too pricey tags on them that the outcome will be that they really not are that special anymore! And then less people will buy them....

Yes, too many special editions and too fast.... this is not special any more, just a way to get more monay from a already overchargerd small car!!!
But on the other hand, the 695 it has many upgrades and not just some LE Badges, first of all is the 6 speed F1 box and the Xenon lights, if the price is right for the options that it has, then I believe that it worth for someone to buy it, but not if the price is the same as the base brera!!!!
