Got a new recall from Fiat today! Have no idea what it is for, just a letter to say I should contact closest Fiat garage soon. It also says my model has got a fault, and that it will be upgraded / fixed when I contact the garage.

Fiat campain # 5333 for modell series 150.

I found out why they wont tell us.... It is nothing new really: It is the risk of leaking fuel onto manifold, risking stopping:( But obviosly ther is also a risk of fire when this happends:mad:

They wouldnt tell me over at FF, because this is supposed to be a secret!!!!
I think consumer rights gives us the owners the right to know this:mad:

I think you are right! Whats the big secret? And after all its the consumers safety that is in risk...

They are probably worried about the chance of a car burning leaking to the press. In this case it`s got all the things needed for a potential fire. 1- fuel, 2-heat, 3- oxygen / fresh air. I am not saying it will catch fire if this leaks occure, but there is for certain a risk. If the leak is very small the fuel will probably evaporate as it hits the manifold...but if it gets the right amount of fuel mixed with high temp and just enough air blowing as the car moves.....

Probably there is no big risk, except for the car stalling:( I just woul like Fiat to inform me. At the last recall, regarding the brakes it said what it was all about. This time it just said contact your fiat garage for repair / upgrade:(

This recall dates back from my thread of 12 MARCH !
There are no new recalls... yet on vosa. Perhaps they have decided to recall all 500s just in case.

Could be. I did not find it on vosa either, but when I googled it came up on that site. But not with entering the recall number. It jus annoys me that it is supposed to be a secret...

Went to the garage yesterday for my recall appointment. They checked my car and said it had the part that needed changing, but they did not have it! Have to order it from Italy! So another 2-3 weeks before it goes back in to change the part. I let them belive that I did not know what the recall was all about, and asked what needed changing? They told there was a part on the intake manifold. They did not tell me about a risk of fuel leaking onto it...

They could not find any fault codes with my B&M either so they will have to do a proper search when it goes back there again.... I figured out the repeating thing, so the only problem now is that the system wont work with either of me and my wifes phones:(

Have you thought of clearing the system and re-installing the phones? Also, there is an update B&M v5.4  I don't know if it will work or how to install it...

I have cleared the system for phones, and tried to pair it again... It finds both my wifes and my phones but wont pair:( I can ask the garage to update to the new version of B&M:icon_thumleft: But it has worked before, so I dont think this will help. Have to use a USB stick I think, but I am not that really into computers so will ask the garage:)
