I know engine coolant goes down from time to time, however is it normal for it to be at the minimum level after 7 months of owning it? Maybe I've been thrashing my Abarth so much my engine has been getting a little toasty lol
Also, has anyone else heard a clunking noise if they reverse with their full lock on, with the wheels turned fully before reversing? It feels as though something isn't alligned properly anymore :(

I had this noise when the car was new (first month or so) but is ok now, it stop by itself!

My son told me you should never have the wheel on 'full' lock... but slightly less. He is the mechanic not I, so don't ask me why:(

I belive this is more of a case on four wheel drive cars.... And I have heard that you should not turn a car off when it is in full lock, because of some power steering issuses. But I am not sure if this goes with the 500 which has got electric power steering:) This might be more of a problem on US cars I think. Remembering the old Ford E-350 ambulances a few years back, which sometimes got stuck to one side if engine was turned off while on full lock to one of the sideslol
I think that having a full lock on the 500 should not be a problem as the turning radius is quite bad, and the car is made to be a city car:icon_thumleft:

I will ask my son when he next comes home. Old habits die hard I suppose... still centre the steering when parking, dip the clutch before starting up, leave it in first gear when parked.

I only centre the steering when parking, as I don't like leaving my car in gear. Obviously I do it though if I am parked on a really steep hill, as don't want it to go anywhere by itself if the hand brake would ever fail lol

I once left a car out of gear, And the hand brake failed, I woke up to find it in the neighbours hedge lol. After that I never leave a car out of gear
