"still waiting"

hello new to this site, i too visited FF and found most posters friendly, unfortunately i found a couple of posters who i considered not so friendly, a bit too full of themselves. anyway i ordered my red 500 1.2 pop 1st week in august and i am still waiting, dealer says he hopes it will arrive for christmas!!!!!!!. not too forthcoming.this will be my first fiat really looking forward to it, i've added sport alloys and chrome kit, i have asked the dealer if the chrome kit includes the tail pipe he seems unsure anyone know?, thanks

Hi redbud and :welcomeon500: :icon_thumleft: I belive the crome tailepipe is a part of the crome package. Atleast it is here:) You will love your 1,2pop, I also have it and love it more and more as each day goes by. Have had it for a year now:D

How can a dealer be unsure if the chrome exhaust comes in the package:eek:

Cadbury is a 1.2 Lounge with Chrome Kit (and chrome exhaust).

That is a really long wait but surely worth it! When I bought mine I was told it would take about 20 weeks (5 months) to get the car but in the end it came in 16 weeks. And this was a year and a half ago, so not much has changed since!

many thanks to you all for such a warm welcome, yes i'm a bit senior as well ha ha. my dealer is a lovely young guy didnt like to take him to task on his lack of knowledge, expected delays but really did expect it this week, ah well patience is a virtue so they say, it will be worth the wait by all accounts, will post pics on arrival. once again thanks:)

I am waiting too, (yellow 500, 1.2 pop ) but had some news yesterday: I rang the dealer & he said mine was 'imminent', and my salesman will call me this week. The car has it's registration number allocated, so I'm hoping it's already lurking around the locale!

I ordered it mid-august, so don't give up hope! :icon_thumright:

The dealer called today and I can pick up my brand new yellow motor on Friday!

I'm even going to try and get off from work a bit early (boss willing); after all, it's a pretty special day!

Also, it is dress like a pirate day at work on friday, so I'll be in full costume at the dealership, parrot and all. biggrin2biggrin2

Cheers ILEX phoning dealer today to get the status code for my order. I have called in twice to check on status, on both occasions the dealer has met me at the door of the showroom, and has said MY car delayed because of scrappage order blah blah blah, at no point did he go and actually check his records ect, anyway I am now very p****d off (soz for the language). From what I understand if my car is not built now it ain't arriving 1st week in december!, with christmas then on the horizon I really can't see it arriving the before the new year, don't want a car built during the "festive " period. I am really pleased your 500 is on the way, your news gives me hope. hope I get good news today:icon_thumright:

Haha... I would love to be in Bristol on Friday... the sight of a pirate driving a yellow 500 ... don't open the sunroof or the parrot might fly away. You be careful !
