That must be one of the best looking Abarths I have ever seen:icon_thumleft: And they ALL look very good:icon_thumright:

Stormi

Quite right and donīt get me wrong. Originals are also very fine, but
with slight mods, you can personalize your car :icon_thumright:

wreckmaster
18th November 2009, 04:53
If I ever comes in the position to buy an Abarth I think I would have gone for the original one, maybe with a esseesse upgrade... I am kind of an original kind of guylollol( or just a bit boring:eek: ) And even if I would get my hands on a A500 it would be unlikely to even get the SS upgrade because of horsepower taxes here on the mountain:(:(

Iīm not much of tuning kind of guy either, original stuff for me too. If something I would maybe mod the wheels and exhaust, but thats about it.
I think I wouldnt go for the SS kit either, but for another reason. I wouldnt mind the extra power, but if thereīs one thing I hate itīs too hard suspension. Itīs just something that makes day-to-day life too uncomfortable, especially with our rough roads.

I will try to keep the wheels I already have, IMO they are the best looking wheels on the Abarth, I will call them tomorrow and will see if I can do this, if not, I will go with the white ones and maybe ad a red stripe on them or something ;)

Before fitting the winter wheels( multispoke 15" ) I spent about one hour on each wheel making them ready for winter. Degreased, foamed, washed with various brushes, a mitt, 2 buckets and a drying towellol Then I put on 2 coats of CG M-seal and one coat of Meguires MG#16 wax:icon_thumleft: Total spent a day on all including drying and curing of the M-seal and the wax;) So you where not too far away from the truth Lefteris:icon_thumleft:

More comfort with 17" I would imaginelol Would love to get some 17" for summer use on my Bravo:icon_thumleft: Will see if I can afford it in the spring:) 16" is more than big enough on the 500 because of the short wheelbase and the general bumpy ride of the car:icon_thumright: Love my 16" multispokes:)

I really like the look of these. Like Lefty said they look a lot like the Abarth originals!! Are they expencive by the way?

Stormi
19th November 2009, 11:56
In the pic is a 5-bolt by the way, but 4 x 98 is with 4. bolts lol

This wheel won a Car Show Peopleīs Choice- award in Essen last year
and looks fabulous in live ! I sold the Modas ( 555.00e ), so paid 300e
for these. Original price 740.00e and made in Germany.

Once more, these would look great in a 500 ...

:OFFTOPIC::)Stormi, you dont happen to have any videos of your car where we could here the engine sound with the Martelius exhaust?

biggrin2

No video, Iīm afraid ;) The kit was tailor made to my car and big credit
goes to the Martelius of that. They are masters in this area. With a turbo
+ a four sylinder engine, wanted a sophisticated sound ( roars in over 3000
rpmīs lol ) but in the other hand, they got out the max (org. 150 Hp now
185 Hp + org 250 Nm now 285 Nm) with measuring the pulses and flows.

So, no necessary re-mapping, just happy with this kit. Allthough some nice
fellow drivers takes my exhaust pipes as a call to drive behind my bumber !

 ;)

I got myself the exhaust for the 1.4 16v and it sounds very good.
Exhaust and central pipe, the right couple! It's the same stuff mounted on the Fiat 500 ferrari dealers 2008.

I've been at the MONZA RALLY SHOW the last weekend and I saw some carbon fibers items made by magneti marelli...wow, they're awesome. It's real carbon fiber, when you touch them it feels like silk...amazing.
well the price is a little bit high, but the real carbon fiber is not cheap .
Anyway, I'm planning to put on my car the suspension system. A friend of mine did it and he's really happy with it
