Carbon Fibre

Hi Guy's and Gal's
I just wanted to know what the interest would be for genuine carbon fibre laminated parts on the 500, i.e a dash, mirror caps etc.
I currently make parts for the BMW Mini mainly, but wanted to know the peoples opinions on the subject?
thanks!
:)

Hi,
Thanks for your post, i am based in the UK and unfortunately the website is not completed as of yet.
I am initial just looking into the demand for parts for that Fiat 500, as i am looking to branch out from the BMW Mini, which i currently make.
Please see the below picture for quality. I expect a dash for the 500 to be apox. Ģ169.

are those overlay on the OE mini parts ?

Yes, they are direct lamination over the existing OEM part, to gurantee a correct fitment.

so for apox. Ģ169 you have to have the OE part also, so the customer have to remove and send you the parts that needet to cover with real carbo, is this correct?

I have wrote this reply three times now, but doesn't seem to want to list.
Yes, this keeps the cost down, as typically the cost of the additional part would be directly passed back on to you.
However, if the core part price is low, then i will purchase the core from the main dealer, fiat, and supply the part already covered, on an exchange basis.

In certain parts, carbon really looks good :icon_thumleft:

I would image that the dash would be really great part to have in carbon fibre. thanks for your view

Is not carbon a bit yesterdays news? Was kind of cool a couple of years ago, but I feel it has becomed a bit outdated. IMO doesent fit the retro theme of the 500 anyway:( Sorry, just my opinion:) Looks like good quality tough:icon_thumleft:

I think carbon is allways in, the final touch in modified cars. In Bravo the
dashboard is in that style and goes well even in Dynamic model ...
For Fiat 500 if not modified, would also keep the retro style.

To be honest, I am not that keen on the carbon fibre look dash in the Bravolol
Would never put any carbon in my 500:) But as I said earlier, I am a original kind of a guylol

I also don't think that carbon'implants' will fit the 500, because it is what it is - a retrocar. It just doesnt make sense :)
But I love carbon, just not on this car.

^
Itīs all they talked about in F1 last season! Can be found on road cars like the Abarth too. Itīs meant to improve the airflow under the car and suck the car to the ground.

Seems your email has got lost. fiat-sportiva.de is normally doing alright. You should write them a second one.
