Hello friends and happy birthday to 500fans and the Bobiras! :)
Today along with my brother sprt09 we went and install the kits on our Abarths.
I fine gift for the Bobiras first birthday, yes!? ;)
I can say only this, if you have a Abarth there is no need for second thought, just go for it, it worth all the money they ask and more!
Here is a few photos, as you can see I start to play with a new decals... more details as soon as I finish the new look with in this week!
Special thanks to our friend and member Christos for the great and super fast work, (only 2 hours for 2 SS kits)
On the last photo is sport09 Abarth! :)
All the best to all

Hi,
Nice to see that you finally got it installed.:icon_thumright:
So, how is your feeling about the extra power?
As I said before for my opinion the normal mode is now usable for normal driving which wasn't the case before and the sport mode is really for fun.biggrin2
Have done now more than 19000 Km and still lowing it like the first day.
Oh, there is also some new gadgets in their Abarth shop.
I bought a set of three pins, one with the old Abarth logo, one with the scorpion and one with the new Abarth logo for 9 Euro only the set.
Ferrari would probably add a zero or two.:D

Question: Don't want to sound stupid ( I do that enough on PURPOSE! lol ), but what kind of car is that next to yours? Is that a Fiat Punto? Looks pretty nice.:)

It is a Grande Punto Abarth:icon_thumleft: And I imagine it also got the SS kit since it has got the white wheels on:)
Congratulations to Bobiras on his birthday and drive hard with the new kit:icon_thumright::cool::icon_thumleft:

Yes, it´s a Grande Punto Abarth. 155hp in standard version and 180hp in Esseesse. New Alfa Romeo Mito shares its underpinnings with GP Abarth by the way!

First of all, Happy Birthday our dearest FORUM !!!!!!
Well, after Bobiras it was the turn of my Abarth to be upgraded to essesse (Lefteris has some pictures of mine as well) !!!!
Yes, the essesse kit is worth all its money, and surpisingly the suspension makes all the difference.
Yes, the normal mode is much more usable...
Yes, the sport mode is much more fun...
Yes, the drilled discs are much more sexier...
Yes, the extra bhp is much welcome...
But, it is ironic that we had to fit a sports essesse kit to improve the horrible previous suspension reaction to the Greek roads!!!
No, my dear VilleV, now the suspension is more suitable for the bumpy Greek roads than before, funny but true.
All in all, the kit elevates the car to a different level, nice Christmas present for our loved four wheeled ones.
Merry Christmas to all of you !

I´m happy to hear that you both think the kit was well worth the money spent! Reason Im asking about the greek roads is that our roads are way worse than yours, mainly because of the ground freezing during the winter and then melting in the spring. Our asfalt is also very harsh so that it can handle the studded tires better.

Hi,
By the way, the esse esse sticker on the air filter housing will loose it's black/ red color after 2 weeks time under the hood.
I got already a new one (on warranty) but I haven't installed it yet...
I believe Lefteris's stickers are by far better quality than the original Abarth stuff.

Thanks, yes you are right, the 3D Decals and the new stripes from www.eu-decals.com (http://www.eu-decals.com) are way better then the OE ones, I will make the one for the engine also! :icon_thumright:

I truly am jealouse... Every time I see Lefty's baby, I'll just sit there and droollol
quick question for anyone who might know,
Does the installation absolutely have to be performed by a Fiat or Abarth mechanic?
If yes, is the cost to install the kit included in the price of the kit? Or do you have to pay labor fees as well??
Dealer hourly labor rates can be as high as $120 USD per hour! And they take their time. There wouldn't be any mechanics here doing two cars in two hours...
Any info would be much appreciated.

The kit installation must be performed by a Abarth mechanic within the first 12 months from the car's delivery date
The price of the kit do not include the installation and they don't charge by hour, they have a fix price of 500 euros for this.
2.600 euros for the kit and 500 euros the installation, total 3.100 euros ($4.600US) but IMO in US the total price for the kit on the car it will be $3.000US to $3.5000US max

That makes sense.
I will probably end up including the price of the kit and installation in with the total financed cost of the vehicle. That way it doesn't hurt the pocketbook as much.
For example, if the car costs $20,000 USD, and the kit + installation costs $3,500 USD, I'll just finance $23,500 USD minus any down payment.

Message for lefteris (or anyone that knows). I have the Esseesse kit and thought it wad supposed to come with an Esseesse specific key cover! Did anyone else have a key cover in their kit or does this not exist ad a specific Esseesse cover?
Thoughts appreciated.

Hi,
Same over here in Luxembourg.
I even asked for this when I picked up the car after installation of the kit but they confirmed that there was no key cover in the kit.
I believe it was a mis-information when people collected info about the kit before it was officially published.
