Hello from Sweden

Hello everyone,

My name is Markus and aim from Sweden, far up in the north of Europe and aim a proud owner of a white -08 Fiat 500 Lounge. Which I have owned for roughly a year now and loved every bit of it so far.

Was a bit sceptic when it was introduced on the market, was first gonna buy a Renault Clio (:icon_rolleyes:) but aim happy I came to some sense and settled for the 500:icon_thumright:

I got a few other italians in the stable as well, a dark blue Alfa 159 Sw, an Alfa 75 and an Alfa 1750 GTV. The 500 Lounge will however get replaced in the spring, as I got an Abarth on its way home, should be here in April.

I throw in some pics of my 500 in its winter-setup.

Yeah, cant wait to get the Abarth, test drove one this summer during a track day with the Alfa Romeo club. What a amazing machine!! fell instantly in love with it. Just a few months to go nowbiggrin2

I´m already jealous of your new Abarth!;) At the mo its not on sale in Finland but we are hoping to get it here in the spring as we have a new import company for Fiat here now. Whats the price of Abarth in Sweden by the way?

Yeah, the 500 is running on steelies with hubcaps during the winter (yuck!!) so I decided to add the white tyre wall, aim very happy with how it turned out.

To give you a accurate price on the new 500 Abarth in Sweden is quite difficult. About 25. ex imported so far by independent car dealers, mostly through German fiat dealers. Very few has found their way to Sweden through the national Fiat dealer network, hardly suprising given that the organistaion is being runned by a bounch of very incompetent people.

However, the price varies from 22000 (pre-owned) and up to around 29000 Euros; I had to cough up over 28000 for mine.

Many thanks Ville, a friend of mine work full time for different car magazines throughout Europe and his photographs is amazing.

Sounds like you father got quite a collection there, the -85 GTV sounds interesting and so does the Giulia. Both are getting very rare and true collectables. I had two Guilis until last month, though both had to much rust and were sent to the scrapyard. Aim about to get myself a 164 as a new project car.

About the Abarth, anyone in Finland who has imported the 500 Abarth from Germany yet? I would imagine the taxes to be very high (maybe to high to justify it?) but maybe that could be cheaper than buying one once they get to Finland through the dealers?

I know of two cars that have been imported privately. The other was bought new from a dealer in Austria with the esseesse kit, and the other is an opening edition car. Dont know what the import tax on the car bought from Austria was, but the opening edition had an import tax of almost 9000 euros!!!:eek: There are some educated guesses about what the price for a new Abarth is going to be (if they come on sale here) on finnish Fiat forums and at moment we are thinking somewhere around 23500-24000 euros for a standard car.

You only live 2 1/2 hour from where I live then:) I live 35minutes from Svinesund / Strømstad outside a little town called Moss:)
